Hello! My name is Jorge Guillén. I am a full-time English learner-teacher and recently an ELT entrepreneur. I have been teaching English for almost 11 years, working mainly at CELEX, UPIICSA at the National Polytechnic Institute, in Mexico City and, in recent times, for private companies such as IT and customs agencies. I am also a Cambridge English Teacher, ICELT & CPE holder and an oral examiner before Cambridge Language Assessment.
Most of the times loads of work and duties get in the way of my reading and writing. That is one of the reasons why I have been struggling to start writing this blog once for all. However, I always try to keep a good book at hand together with my Mac because I believe there is always something worth learning from and sharing with others.
Additionally, I do enjoy browsing the Internet, of course reading other people’s blogs, tweeting and being updated on the latest news, teaching methods and trends, especially on the world of ELT.
This blog is a means of self-improvement and obtaining feedback from my PLN. It is a place for expressing myself, sharing and having a chance to learn from the process itself and from those many other ELT professionals who are out there in pursuit of similar goals as mine i.e. continue growing and developing as teachers, improving English language instruction and education in general.
Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction and thank you in advance for leaving your comments. I sincerely expect you see something that interests you and would welcome your feedback willingly at any time.
